Anastasiya Alekhina is a multimedia artist. Born in 1989 in Pyatigorsk in the North Caucasus, she has been living and working in Moscow for the past six years, graduating from MMOMA (the Laboratory of Media Performance) in 2012 and Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia (faculty of New Media Arts) in 2015. The artist works in technological genres of art; implementing her ideas by creating media installations and kinetic sculptures, she works with wearable electronics projects and produces electronic and electro-acoustic musical instruments. In her works, the artist touches on the existential problems of consciousness, explores the concepts of “technology” and “technical” in nature and society, is engaged in critical research of future clothing, corporality and wearable devices. Works with sound in experimental directions, using self-made analog instruments, computer algorithms and “found sounds”. Participant of the female noise team # PRIPOY.
